AREL New York was founded by Rivky Landau, whose experience in women’s formalwear began long before the brand itself.

In 2016, Rivky founded Silver Sequin Couture, where she spent years working closely with women through ready-to-wear and custom design. That work placed her at the center of real moments, fittings, and celebrations. Over time, she came to understand that what matters most is not only how a dress looks, but how it fits, moves, and feels on the body.

After more than a decade of hands-on experience, Rivky felt a clear need to create something new. AREL New York was born from a desire to bring the precision and care of custom design into a refined ready-to-wear collection. Each piece reflects years of learning, from adjusting proportions and refining silhouettes to understanding the quiet confidence women seek in what they wear.
